A psychoeducational assessment provides a comprehensive evaluation of a child’s current cognitive abilities, academic skills, and learning profile. Using standardised tools, WISC-V and WIAT-III, this assessment offers insight into a child’s strengths and challenges in both cognition and learning.

This assessment identifies giftedness, intellectual developmental disorder and learning difficulties, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia. It also includes tailored recommendations to support the child’s learning development.

We offer psychoeducational assessments for children aged 6 to 16 years.

The assessment process involves:
  • Background questionnaire completed by the parent or caregiver
  • An initial phone consult with the parent or caregiver
  • Communication with the child’s teachers (with your consent)
  • The assessment with the child
  • Additional questionnaires, if required for a diagnosis
  • A written report, including any diagnoses identified
  • A feedback session to review the report and clarify any questions you have.

Lagom is offering an introductory price of $1950 for a psychoeducational assessment which is inclusive of additional questionnaires and subtests which may be required as part of the assessment process.
This cost is broken into 3 payments across the assessment process.

At Lagom Psychology, we aim to make the process as easy as possible for both you and your child. In some cases we can collaborate with your child’s school to conduct the assessment at school during the school day.
Please note travel fees may apply to offsite services.
